Still waiting on 10 a.m. turnout figures from Roanoke
We’re still waiting on the 10 a.m. turnout figures from Roanoke. Usually, the city is quite reliable about producing these but officials in the registrar’s office say they’re still trying to track down figures from a few elusive precincts. We’ll post that report as soon as we get it.
The turnout figures, when they come, will offer a key barometer on Western Virginia’s most Democratic stronghold. Will turnout in the city, especially in key Democratic precincts, be up or down compared to four years ago? We’re still waiting to find out.
Earlier, we reported waits of two hours or more at one strongly Democratic precinct in Northwest Roanoke.
