Virginia’s U.S. Senate candidates cast their ballots

U.S. Senate candidates Tim Kaine and George Allen cast their election ballots this morning before hitting a few polling places on the last day of their hard-fought contest.

Kaine and his wife Anne Holton voted early this morning at Hermitage Methodist Home on Richmond’s north side. Kaine’s campaign sent along some photos, which are posted here. Kaine later dropped by three Richmond voting precincts, including an elementary school named for his father-in-law, former Gov. Linwood Holton. Kaine’s campaign has a party planned tonight at the Richmond Marriott hotel.

Allen and his wife Susan voted bright and early this morning at Washington Mill Elementary School in Fairfax County. Allen was scheduled to visit precincts in Farifax, Loudoun, Henrico and Chesterfield counties before arriving at the Omni Richmond Hotel for tonight’s GOP election party.
