#5 Ldr, I do believe that both Warner and Kaine want to work with anybody and everybody to get things done. Allen? He’s into kicking teeth.

That worked out well 150 years ago.

Oh YIPPEE! They are already finding their new slogans to run on next time! So sick of federal government and their selfish motives. Wish we could fairly hear all sides from an unbiased media source locally and nationally.

And…..I wish politicians would be more value centered and have some inner principles, not always concerned with the next election. It seems they worry more about that, than the matters at hand that they are going to “Solve” after they are elected. In VA, I voted for the lesser of 2 evils which I saw running.

Our Federal gov’t is not working. I believe we are going to see continual division in our country and that states/the people, are going to start taking matters into their own hands. And maybe that would be best, for people to gather and live where there beliefs, values, and what they feel is best for the families, is upheld.

Tim Kaijne has his head on straight. Chip Woodrum is correct. And Va. citizens recognized this and ignored the millions in outside money and negative attracks from Karl Rove to do the right thing. Can anyone honestly see George (kick their soft teeth down their whiny throats) Allen doing anything to seek a compromise nonpartisan solution to this problem ? Tim Kaine is the right answer for Va.

It will be interesting to see which level of recalcitrance the GOP congressionals choose to reside. If it mirrors the stance they’ve had the last four years, there’s a distinct possibility they again lose the White House in 2016.

Mark Warner might be fueled to depart the Senate because of the historic mid-term opposition gains. He might be as frustrated as Jim Webb was, and also be positioning himself for a Presidential run in 2016. He’d look better as a Governor than a defeated ex-Senator. That being said, he should understand that a second run as Governor would be vastly different from his first term. The GOP in Va would not treat him any differently than it did Tim Kaine. We really need him to remain in the Senate, and I hope he follows John Warner’s devotion to that position.

I would be surprised to see Warner run for Governor. I think he is a dark horse candidate in 2016 for the Dems, and I would back him from day 1.

Tim Kaine hits the right note. Kaine and Senator Mark Warner understand that a democracy works by forging a consensus. All parties will have to make concessions. It is a hard, unglamorous and, at times, frustrating process but they know we have to begin now. Warner and Kaine will be leaders that Virginia will be proud of.
