Riiight, Larry H. I’m sure those hourly folks are being let out of their jobs in droves to vote.

Now tell us exactly why people shouldn’t be able to vote on days other than that one Tuesday. We’ll wait.

Some people would not be happy if you brought the ballot right to their doors individually. People already are allowed time off from the work sites to go and vote. If people are too lazy to take advantage of that, then they shouldn’t have even more rights to just go vote “whenever”. People know when election day is, so plan accordingly if that is your highest priority of that day. We need to stop making all of these “special rules” for people who do not want to comply with the current rules. Use some common sense, people!

What is wrong with these people?! Why kill absentee-voting bills? Obviously, the R’s want fewer D’s to vote (and if people have long-term memories, they won’t be too eager to stand on line for 2-4 hours next time, either), and this is SO discouraging–as the R’s seem to want us to NOT vote. I forsee some long, hard nastiness this legislative season–hey, if they can block the federal Congress from working, why not take it to the States.
