Goodlatte “at nexus” of Obama’s agenda in Congress

Rep. Bob Goodlatte

Rep. Bob Goodlatte

Here’s a piece that Roll Call had about Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke County, last week that we’re just getting around to seeing.

Headlined “Goodlatte at nexus of Obama agenda,” the story starts off this way:

Virginia Republican Rep. Robert W. Goodlatte is important, but don’t expect him to tell you that.

He’s the new chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and huge segments of President Barack Obama’s agenda must go through his committee.

You can read the entire piece here.

SW Virgina has high unemployment, high rate of school drop outs, graduates of public school poorly prepared to engage in the real world of work, a very high rate of abuse of prescription drugs, moonshine still being produced, meth labs supplying people hurting so much they think being on meth will help their unhappiness, and is far behind changes that comes from being like an ostrich with it’s head in the sand. Bob Goodlatte was right there in Congress while all this developed. It was on HIS watch his District has become derailed off the path to the American Dream, people are hurting, and he only cares about his own special interest groups. It is time to get rid of Goodlatte as our Representative and elect someone with honor, courage and the brass necessary to get a much better job done. Bob Goodlatte has no brass, at all. He is a ‘clone’ and ‘soldier’ for the staunch GOP elements that even Gingrich says “MUST CHANGE”. Veterans: Please forgive me for using the term ‘soldier’ with anything to do with Goodlatte; that’s his inside-the-beltline nickname, Goodlatte is no warrior and a disgrace to the good people of his District. Let’s put him out to pasture (an appropriate location for what comes out of him).

Goodlatte to blame for all of Southwest Virginia’s woes Mr. Johnston? Unlikely.

And people like carl woodie is precisely who Goodlatte will play to. They will never have the ability to see what David Johnston has articulated so well. What a dichotomy in just two posts!

#1 DJ, if you’re dissatisfied with Goodlatte, just be thankful you don’t have Morgan Griffith as your representative. He makes Goodlatte look like a statesman for the ages. Talk about a lackey, especially for Big Coal and the Tea Party.

    ^^Crooked road is 100% correct.
