U.S. Senator Tim Kaine commented on the death of former Delegate Clifton “Chip” Woodrum:

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a dear friend, Chip Woodrum. I join the entire Roanoke community in mourning his loss. Chip will be remembered for his sense of humor, his loyalty, and his decades of public service to the Commonwealth. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, including his wife Emily and his three children, during this difficult time.”
