Griffith says he’ll help visitors see sights in D.C.

Rep. Morgan Griffith

Rep. Morgan Griffith

President Obama has ended public tours of the White House, citing sequestration budget cuts. In response, Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Salem, has issued this statement:

“In the two years that have passed since I have taken office and with the Sequester in effect, my office budget will have been cut by nearly 18.5 percent. However, my staff will continue working to ensure that all those wishing to tour the Capitol Building will have the opportunity to do so. Our office is also prepared to continue helping arrange for tours of other sites which will remain open like the Library of Congress.”

I notice Griffith deliberately avoided mentioning that his personal Congressional income, expenses, & benefits have not been cut at all in that time.
Maybe if he spent time focusing on actually representing the citizens of the 9th, instead of kneeling before his Koch & Big Coal masters, he’d actually be effective instead of another empty suit.

Instead of worrying about people touring the Capitol maybe you can work on getting Congress to lead our country.

Gosh, sure am glad he’s up there doing the important work of governing.

Griffith has done some good things…..such as oppose NDAA…..which Comrade Obama signed into law.

I think Flacvento would have done a good job too, if he wouldn’t have walked the Dem. line.

I guess this is the problem of having a “either or” type of government when both Republicans and Democrats have messed this country up.

Jason’s a good example of why Griffith’s devoted lemmings tend to exhibit no functioning brain cells.

He’s probably one of the morons who think Obama was born in Africa, just because he’s black. Can’t hide the hood, don’t ya know…

LOL….”Can’t hide the hood, don’t ya know.” You sound like one of them fellas from up North.

We could quote some really good Obama supporters…such as the one that said she voted six times for Obama last election.

Truthfully there Crooked Road, I’m more of a Libertarian/Constitution/Green Party type of person. I despise Republicans and Democrats equally.

I paid a democrat a compliment…and you roasted me Crooked Road….that’s not being Southern or gentile.

Because showing up for a tour is one of the most pressing concerns facing Americans today.

    Do something useful, Griffith.

“.that’s not being Southern or gentile.”

    Maybe he’s Jewish. LOL
