Blue Ridge Caucus returns to action this morning with a reminder that Virginia’s gubernatorial candidates will meet for their second debate of the campaign tonight in Fairfax County.
The 7 p.m. clash between Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Democrat Terry McAuliffe won’t be televised in the Roanoke market. Viewers here can catch a live stream of the debate at nbcwashington.com.
The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the debate at the Capital One Bank Headquarters in McLean. The candidates will take questions from moderator Chuck Todd of NBC News and a media panel.
The Fairfax chamber debate has become a staple of statewide campaigns, staged in front of an audience of Northern Virginia business and political heavyweights. But Southwest Virginia won’t get left out of the party this fall. The final debate of the campaign will take place at Virginia Tech Oct. 24, just 12 days before the election. Tech and WDBJ will co-sponsor the event.
