Jubilee Friday: Girls soccer updates
We will continue to update this page as we receive reports on girls soccer action today from Radford.
Woodgrove 3, Blacksburg 0
RADFORD — Tabitha McHale scored two first-half goals to lead the Wolverines over the previously unbeaten Bruins, who were held to two shots in the Group AA semifinal game.
Sarah Hardison also scored for Woodgrove. Lindsey Rotche made 10 saves for Blacksburg (22-1).

Loudoun County 1, Jefferson Forest 0
RADFORD — Allison Littrell scored in the 77th minute and Loudoun County advanced to the Group AA final with a 1-0 win over Jefferson Forest (17-2).
Loudoun County, which outshot JF 11-3, will face Woodgrove at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cupp Stadium on the RU campus.

George Mason 2, James River 0
RADFORD – George Mason shut out James River, sending the Mustangs to the Group A girls soccer final, where they will play for their fifth consecutive state championship.
Leah Ross and Maggie Mascarenhas scored for George Mason.
Teresa Theimer made seven saves for James River (14-3-1), which was outshot 9-3.

Graham 2, Clarke County 1
RADFORD — Jessica Woodie and Virginia Workman scored second-half goals to help the G-Girls rally to beat Clarke County in the Group A girls soccer semfinals.
Graham will play four-time defending George Mason in Saturday’s final.
Courtney Butterfass scored on a shot from a little over 20 yards out in the first half for Clarke County.






So glad the Graham G-Girls advance. Hope all goes well for the “Virginia side girls” (as they are known in the Bluefield area) against George Mason.
