The Roanoke Times: Press Boxwith our sports staffDramaPosted Apr14, 2007 at 03:23 PMAs we move mercifully into a fourth quarter that might or might not feature any more action than the lugubrious first three, we note that special guests in attendance include former UVa stars (and current or former NFL players) Aaron Brooks, Jim Dombrowski, Antwoine Womack, Wali Rainer, Wali Lundy and Matt Schaub. (Wale Elegbe could not be reached for comment.) "Get well soon, Jameel," our man Ed Miller deadpans as another possession goes for naught. White? Blue? Does it matter? And yes, you HAVE to click on that Elegbe link. |

McFardawg76Great blog, Jim! Now...how about a recap of this face-painting and balloon animal fun? I don't feel like I'm getting the whole Festival experience.

Jim ReedyWell, I can only imagine it was a bit damp. By the time I got here, the festival looked pretty dead. I mean, really -- the P.A. announcer just thanked the few thousand (hundred?) fans for braving the unpleasant elements.
I do see a few balloon-animal hats, if you can picture that. Not sure just what animal(s) they're supposed to be.
