An easier commute between the ‘burgs
A commuter bus route between Blacksburg and Christiansburg is a welcome addition.
Blacksburg Transit found a bumpy road when it expanded into Christiansburg. It adapted, though, and has found some success. An upcoming change promises more — daily commuter routes between the ‘burgs.Citizen disinterest has been a hurdle for service in Christiansburg. Although there have been riders, they have not been as numerous as some had hoped. That caused some town council members to grumble about the town’s subsidy.
The expanded service in Christiansburg is still relatively new and gaining traction. Blacksburg Transit continues to tweak its routes as it gains a better understanding of demand.
