Thanks for reading today. I know we all have a lot on our plates. There’s the fire and brimstone raining outside, and of course the long lines to receive the mark of the beast. So I’m flattered that you’d take a few minutes to pick up my column.
Yesterday was the rapture. It was the beginning of the end of the world. Good Christians ascended to heaven on golden light. The rest of us must deal with the antichrist.

Rapture theology is a relatively modern concept. The word “rapture” does not occur in the Bible. The earliest christians believed that at the end of time, Christ would return and would begin a series of events that would lead to God creating heaven on earth, much like the Garden of Eden in the Old Testament.
Anyway, it would never happen on a Saturday. Christ was brought into the world as a Jew and was crucified as a Jew. Jews don’t work on Saturday.
