A lovely story unfolds on Twitter

This morning on the drive in, I heard the sweetest story on NPR, “A Brother and Sister Get Married (And Later, Their Son Tweets It).

I wasn’t  here long before one of my daughters forwarded a link with a note saying that I probably already listened to this, but I should also take a look.

I suppose she has heard me pause often enough during dinner to ask the rhetorical question: What is the value of Twitter ?

Yes, I know we use it to keep people abreast of breaking news. Its purpose often seems overshadowed by its overuse and abuse. What is it’s lasting value?

Today, for the first time, I saw the poetry of Twitter and was enamored.

If you haven’t heard the story, take the five minutes or so to listen to it, then click on the link to the moving Twitter story.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
