The forecast calls for a mess of traffic. Stay put.

The following warning has been issued for the Roanoke and New River valleys: A substantial front will move into the area at the crack of dawn, causing travel delays, congested roads and jammed hotels and restaurants throughout the day.

If you plan to leave the protection of your home or office during the morning hours, you may be swept up in a massive flood of traffic from which you cannot escape. Exercise caution at every turn.
