Thursday letters
Guns, religion, water and more in today’s letters to the editor.
Pick of the day: Republicans love all kinds of people
According to Carl Scott, Republicans hate (“List is long of those Republicans hate,” May13 letter).
I suggest he is confused about hate and preferences.
I prefer to say, I love nature, which is male and female. I love freedom to choose whom I donate my money to.
I love people who are in this country legally. I love all races who work and pay their taxes.
I love old people.
I love poor people, even those with cellphones, flat screen TVs, Air Jordan shoes and food stamps.
I love those who drive their automobiles to clean-air rallies, flush their commodes and cry about clean water.
I love those who pay unions for what they did way back when and are shamed into paying dues for laws already on the books.
I love God (which Scott certainly didn’t mention). I love the freedom to hate communism.
I love rich people who buy the things we make and, yes, I even love Scott, who is obviously confused by the most divisive president this country has ever had.
I hope Scott votes for someone with some class instead of one who divides into classes.
