The average college-student debt in 2010 was about $25,000, and it’s been rising ever since. The rise in these costs is due to many factors, but the important thing to recognize is that this problem is not going to be resolved in the near future.
However, the fallout from this problem is that students and their families are accruing large amounts of college debt, and this is not going away; it is getting worse.
Keinigs retired from Los Alamos National Lab in 2005 after spending 25 years as a research physicist and project leader. After moving to Radford, he taught undergraduate astronomy at Virginia Tech for three years and is now really retired.
