Insurance should cover birth control

By Alisa Brawley

Birth control for women should be covered by private insurance plans as a part of preventive health care.

More than 63 percent of Americans support the new federal requirement, which calls for private health insurance plans to cover the cost of birth control, according to a survey conducted for the HenryJ. Kaiser Family Foundation in February.

In a nation so openly hostile to abortion, teen pregnancy and multiple (or any) children for the poor, you would seriously think that this one is an absolute “no brainer”.

It should be an optional rider. If it’s wanted you should pay extra for it.

@2 Pay for it now or pay for it later. There really is no ‘optional’.

The USA is hostile toward abortion, teen pregnancy and children for the poor???

Who knew as over 1,000,000 abortions/yr. are performed in the USA.
Our teen pregnancy rate is the highest in the western world. 4 times that of France, 7 times that of Sweden and 8 times that of Japan. Can’t afford your child- NO PROBLEM!! We’ll vaccinate ‘em, feed ‘em, heck give ‘em a cell phone.

If we were truly hostile toward these…why do we have so many? Could it be we condone and coddle the behavior? Looks like it.

Been here long BUD? Hostility certainly does not mean it gets stopped, look at the illegal immigration issue. Define coddle. Abortion, guns, and illegal immigrants are some of the longest and most bitter threads on most blogs for a reason.

Maloof said it best. Surely a rational person wouldn’t expect a free lunch, which is why the “Affordable” Healthcare Act is such a misnomer.

Sandi..sorry if your #1 doesn’t hold up to scrutiny…maybe you should rephrase and post again.
