UVa board dodged public notice law

Members of the board of visitors improperly held an emergency meeting to accept Teresa Sullivan’s resignation.

Members of the University of Virginia Board of Visitors have refused to offer a coherent explanation for their sudden ouster of President Teresa Sullivan. The handful of comments by board members echo the same theme: “We should be trusted to handle the situation properly.”
