Keeping secrets costs more than ever

The federal government spends billions on classified records, but precious little on declassification.

Job seekers have had a hard time of it in recent years. Few industries have grown, and that goes double for government sectors that have shed jobs and slashed spending. One government sector, however, has proven remarkably recession-proof: Secrets.

President Obama might have campaigned on the idea of government transparency, but his administration has been disappointing.

    Expensive? Heck yes.

    Rumor has it that Obama has spent millions hiding his past.

    Personally, I don’t care. But you’re right…keeping secrets costs a lot!
