Micromanaging judges doesn’t serve justice

A change in who qualifies for weekend jail sentences will make it harder to rehabilitate some felons.

It’s not Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s fault that judges are losing flexibility to decide which men and women should be permitted to serve their jail sentences on weekends.

The sitting attorney general is merely the messenger in this case.

    There is no way around it, constraints such as this, are punitive and do not serve justice or society.
