Absentee voting: Point/Counterpoint

Alton Foley, a RoundTable reader, points out that absentee voting is not just about average citizens who don’t want to cast their ballot on Election Day:

What we should be talking about are military personnel overseas, many of whom do not get absentee ballots in time to cast that vote.

Are logistical challenges a reason to limit absentee voting?  And what more should be done to better serve people overseas?
