Add another pearl to the greenway chain
Carvins Cove Nature Reserve’s trail system is about to meet up with the Tinker Creek Greenway.
Last weekend, Hollins University and Roanoke County dignitaries joined greenway enthusiasts at the trailhead of a newly built segment of the Tinker Creek Greenway.
The ceremony marked the completion of a bit more than a mile of natural surface trail — a small portion of a whole that eventually is to link up to a one-and-a-quarter-mile segment built across the valley in southeast Roanoke. But what a distance it covers.
