The odor of voter fraud

Any evidence of questionable election activities should be promptly investigated.

At age 23, Patrick Moran’s political career has come to an abrupt and ignominious end. That’s as it should be.

It’s also appropriate that Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has been called in to investigate an incident in which Moran was secretly videotaped discussing potential voter fraud.

One only needs to know two things concerning voter fraud 1) 2008 2)SEIU

  2. gdad | October 30, 2012 at 8:41 am

    #1 What about 2008?

  3. Jeff Doto | October 30, 2012 at 9:26 am

The ECONOMY is the worst in American history….completely dismal…Extremely high unemployment for almost 4 YEARS…24 million out of work…47 Million on food stamps as we continue to borrow $$$$$$$ from China….We owe $4,000,000,000.00/day in interest on the money we`ve borrowed..FOUR BILLION A DAY, JUST IN INTEREST !!!!!!!!!!! One only needs to see the floats being displayed at the Oktoberfest parade in Germany…The world is laughing at Obama, Hillary, and the rest of the incompetents…This administration and the fools on the left who continue to back them are a world-wide joke, sadly, we have to live through it.

Why did Obama promise Lockeed-Martin recently, to compensate fired employees….after the election ? They are required by law to give a 60 day notice to defense dept., contractors, But Obama did not want the public to hear about it, that is, the illegal firing of 123,000 Lockheed-Martin employees…Obama has promosed LM that the Fed would cover the fired employees severance packages, but to keep it quiet until after the election….guess obama is saying “`to Hell with their jobs, just win me re-election.“

#3 “The ECONOMY is the worst in American history”

Don’t know much about American history, do you? And what does this have to do with voter fraud? Grab a paper bag and breathe deeply, Doto

  6. JimW | October 30, 2012 at 11:31 am

liberals all of a sudden being concerned about voter fraud is commendable if a little suspect. Hey, I have an idea. How about requiring everyone show an ID to vote?

  7. Christina Nuckols | October 30, 2012 at 11:40 am

How is that going to prevent registration applications from ending up in the trash can?

  8. Michael | October 30, 2012 at 12:05 pm

Speaking of voter fraud, I just saw the Michael Moore/MoveOn ad insinuating that the Republicans are going to steal this election.

Ho, hum…it’s been predicted over and over that when Obama loses, the left will claim the republicans stole the election. Glad to see they are already starting.

Oh, and you lefties should be proud of the vulgar language, too.

  9. Sandi Saunders | October 30, 2012 at 12:35 pm

Sure, indeed “It’s in everyone’s best interest to avoid having the commonwealth get caught in the roving spotlight of an election scandal“. How exactly you believe that can be managed when so much of the electorate and the population has decided the media cannot be trusted and spends their days sopping up narrative so often devoid of facts and reality that it appears surreal is a whole other issue. Good luck with that brick wall as evidenced in the above comments.

  10. Jim Lucas | October 30, 2012 at 6:12 pm

#7 Christina, is this the only type manifestation of voter fraud? Is only one side guilty of such? Yes, that is IMO your inference, at least from an immediate (and relatively insignifigant) perspective.

It appears the “odor of” is an acquired smell. And the wind from the dumpster only blows one way.

  11. Christina Nuckols | October 30, 2012 at 6:13 pm

Maybe you should read the editorial above.

  12. Jim Lucas | October 30, 2012 at 6:29 pm

#9 Trying to find a point, partisan or otherwise.

Might it be (your point, & in general) the general population does not trust the media?

If so, I agree. Reference F&F, politically motivated security leaks, and now Libya, small wonder.

The very pertinent, immediate question is how many have figured it out? We’ll find out in a week.

The continual attack on FOX News is absolutely nothing more or less than an attack on exposing the truth about this administration.

Yes, in many ways they are “editorially” biased. Yet, no doubt the best news every (week) day is Bret Beir. The best “mainstream” journalist going is Chris Wallace (a chip of the “old block”).

As to the “old block”, CBS is starting to figure it out. Whether it is due to a genuine return to jounalistic objectivity and/or a ratings thing, I don’t care.

  13. Jim Lucas | October 30, 2012 at 6:40 pm

#11 Christina….the concept of addressing “voter fraud” has been ridiculed and called “supression”, racial & otherwise (but mostly racial) from the left since the incipient conversation. Including in the general press of the RT & the editorial view of the RTEB.

Now that there is a GOP issue you can point to, and dem instances you can rationalize….it’s time to pontificate.

I read the editorial. Thank you.

  14. Art Hill | October 30, 2012 at 7:13 pm

    “Fox News…jounalistic objectivity”

Thanks, I needed that! Fox “News” is nothing more than the propaganda mouthpiece of the far Right wing. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court has ruled that it’s not a crime to lie over the airwaves.

  15. Michael | October 30, 2012 at 7:32 pm

#14 – “Unfortunately, the Supreme Court has ruled that it’s not a crime to lie over the airwaves.”

Lucky for you that they did, Art…otherwise Obama would be in prison from his first presidential campaign!

  16. Sandi Saunders | October 30, 2012 at 7:52 pm

Thank you Jim Lucas, you said and proved it far better than I could. I rest my case.

  17. Jim Lucas | October 30, 2012 at 8:25 pm

#16 Mrs. Saunders. Empty words. What was your point (that’s where I came in, it’s often illusive)….and, how did I prove “it”?

  18. Jim Lucas | October 30, 2012 at 9:32 pm

    #14 “Fox News…jounalistic objectivity

Mr. Hill, are you referring to my #12?

If so, and it certainly appears so (once again, please let us be clear as to such references, rather than hide behind not-so-plausible-deniability) you take me twice out of reference….in itlaics, rather than quotes.

I never said FOX was “objective”. Indeed, I spoke directly to their being “editorially” biased.

As to “journalistic objectivity”, my reference was to CBS.

    Thank you.

  19. Art Hill | October 30, 2012 at 11:14 pm

Sorry Jim, but using the two phrases in the same post was an glaring oxymoron, I had a little fun with it. We all know Fox “News” is the propaganda mouthpiece of the right-wing fringe. To claim CBS is following their lead due to “journalistic integrity” is ludicrous, CBS is owned by GE, a major defense contractor. They have a well-known conservative bias, as do most corporate media outlets. Speaking of out of reference, can you say “we didn’t build that?”

Have a good one, looking forward to the elections!

  20. The Other Rick | October 31, 2012 at 5:32 am

19 – NBC is (or was) owned by GE, not CBS. NBC is now owned by Comcast, though.

And if you think GE’s ownership gave NBC a “conservative” bias, you truly have your head in the sand. Not to mention, they also owned MSNBC (aka MSDNC).

“We all know Fox is the propaganda mouthpiece of the right-wing fringe”? Sorry Art…you don’t speak for “we all”. Get your facts straight.

  21. The Other Rick | October 31, 2012 at 5:34 am

19 – Furthermore, with anchors and reporters the likes of Rather, Couric, Schieffer, Pelley, et. al….you claim CBS has a “well-known conservative bias”??? Laughable.

  22. Sandi Saunders | October 31, 2012 at 8:14 am

The fact remains that many people in this nation have chosen to accept the FOX News and other right wing media outlet narrative. That it is so often devoid of facts and reality is ignored and worse yet applauded. ANY media that does not “toe that line” gets labeled as “liberal” (and worse). That is grossly simplistic, dishonest and telling all at the same time. Thanks to you all for proving my point better than even I can. I realize that is not your intention so it is sweet indeed.

As if on cue, the whole “exposing the truth” meme will ride off into the sunset (as it did during the Bush years) as soon as a TP/R is back in the White House.

  23. Jim Lucas | October 31, 2012 at 10:04 am

Mr Hill, your misstatements as to ownership etc., aside….giving the benefit of the doubt as to the error, nevertheless, what do you mean when you say:

“…CBS is owned by GE, a major defense contractor. They have a well-known conservative bias.”

Who is the “they” here? GE or CBS? Can you type with a straight face that CBS has a “well known conservative bias”? (I know you wouldn’t be purposely obtuse).

  24. Jim Lucas | October 31, 2012 at 10:07 am

#22 Pure sophistry….(and again, what point?).

  25. Sandi Saunders | October 31, 2012 at 11:18 am

The same point as always, to get you to prove me right. It pretty much works like a charm. I make an accusation and you come along and prove it. Thanks.

  26. Kathie | October 31, 2012 at 2:54 pm

#25 – actually it’s a play that’s been passed down from liberal to liberal for a number of years now. So predictable, I might add.

  27. Sandi Saunders | October 31, 2012 at 6:23 pm

I agree. It is so predictable, you would think someone would catch on and quit playing. C’est la vie, it works for me.
