Long-standing purpose: Protect Mill Mountain
By Nancy Dye
While the Mill Mountain Advisory Committee does not have the authority to make decisions and act independently, members take our responsibility to serve Roanoke very seriously. We recognize Mill Mountain as the signature of our wonderful city.
The Mill Mountain Garden Club established and maintains the Wildflower Garden, built the outdoor amphitheater/classroom and brought American chestnut trees to the mountain.
Dye is chairwoman of the Mill Mountain Advisory Committee.
