Take the holiday to savor the turkey

I see that Target is going to follow the lead of Walmart and open its doors this evening at 8 p.m. I’m sure there will continue to be a rash of copy-cat store openings, because each of these retailers wants to provide a service to the community (totally altruistic).

They want to give every shopper an opportunity to add to their companies’ profits by creating a buying frenzy, and hoping shoppers will buy items that are not advertised (which is where they make their money) along with that electronic gadget that will make them the hero of their family.
