A new understanding of family

The first day of a new year is a symbolic time for a fresh start. It is an opportunity to reflect on the events and activities of the past, celebrating achievements and acknowledging moments when you could have done better. We had much to celebrate at Carilion during 2012, and we are looking forward to 2013.

Carilion’s mission is to promote health and wellness for every member of the community we serve. We can best accomplish this by expanding access and opportunities for all. We learned in 2012 that we needed to expand access and opportunities at our health and wellness facilities.

    This is fantastic. Carilion is not just paying lip-service & engaging in damage control, they’re actually taking meaningful action. Health coverage for domestic partners is a great step forward.
