Here we go again and again

Am I the only one who feels like we’re caught in the movie “Groundhog Day” where people keep living the same day over and over? I’m referring to all of the huffing and puffing coming from Washington these days over the federal government’s approaching fiscal cliff. We’ve heard it all before during the debt limit crisis awhile back. It’s the same song and dance. All of the usual suspects are doing it yet again. The same routine.
I have two very serious questions concerning the fiscal cliff.

Jessee, you’re not alone. Your points are just not echoed here. The four year drumbeat of “tax the rich and all will be well” has worked as planned. Where are the editorials wondering why are spending cuts not even mentioned? (That is rhetorical as you know.) Somehow too many people think an extra $67 billion in taxes will take care of the trillion plus annual deficits and take a big chunk out of the $16T debt. Go figure…
