A growing opportunity

CCAP is a smart investment for Roanoke, Botetourt and Craig counties.

When Virginia Western Community College President Robert Sandel says, “Our region is talking,” he means with its money.

It’s spending it wisely, too.

Sandel was referring to expansion of Virginia Western’s innovative Community College Access Plan into all of the localities the college serves, so that graduating high school students won’t miss an opportunity to attend college because they can’t afford it — and happen to live on the wrong side of a boundary line.
