What percentage of citizens get the paper now? I bet many more people have access to Internet than receive the paper. Your public notices are buried in the paper (how many page turns?). If you’re talking about transparency, fess up that it’s all about revenue to you when it comes to public notices, not the public interest. What do you charge localities for public notices?

I have had to do a few public notices and more than a few ads. The comparison between the cost of an ad and the cost of a public announcement is close to night and day different. The paper is not getting wealthy on public notice income IMO.
