Gun right lost in a time warp
By Ken Conklin
Recent events have caused me to reacquaint myself with the Second Amendment, one of 10 amendments in an appendage to the U.S.Constitution called the Bill of Rights. Many decades ago, I studied the Bill of Rights in Mr. Rubenstein’s U.S. history class at Pacoima Junior High School in Los Angeles.
To his disappointment, I was paying more attention to Nancy in the second row of the class than I was to the 27 words that make up the Second Amendment.
Conklin, of Daleville, is a manager in the technology industry.
