State lawmakers haven’t yet given final approval to Gov. Bob McDonnell’s plan for assigning every public school in Virginia a letter grade. That didn’t stop the governor from releasing a list of preliminary grades last week.
Although he was quick to note that the outcomes are subject to change, his haste to pin an over-simplistic label on schools may backfire.
