Decision time
Late as it is, the nation’s leaders can avert sequestration. Or at least stop it before too much damage is done.
Today’s the day.
Barring the unimaginable — compromise in Washington — the deep, across-the-board cuts in federal spending known as the sequester will go into effect by 11:59 p.m.
There’s still time to avert it. President Obama has called the leaders of both houses of Congress to meet with him today. But expectations of success are low.
And, as congressional tax hawks and their supporters have been predicting, you will note that the sky has not fallen. There is no sign today that the world is nearing an end.

Smoke and mirrors…Oh, Lawdy, the world is gonna explode, This is what the ridiculous democrats have been screaming for years..i.e. Granny will have to eat dog food, little kids will die in the streets !!!! The Dems know that when America sees that these cuts will go mostly unnoticed, that they lose major credibility…Thats why you`ve seen the `Crybaby-in-chief` running around the Country with his `the sky is falling` campaign. If he`s is so worried about this $$$$, why is he jetting around the Country, playing golf with Tiger at the taxpayer cost of $380,000.00/hour ??? We hope in this next round of whining in D.C. that the Repubs have enough `kahunas` to defund obamacare, but knowing these spineless punks, probably not.
This is just making them have an enforced budget, which is what we need, and look deep into to so called cuts, Most are cuts in planned increases. My family lives within a budget, and we live within it, why shouldnt we expect the same of our government.
When 2 cents on the dollar proves to be nothing more than a `blip` on the radar, you can bet that the American people will DEMAND of Congress to continue to `CUT, CUT, CUT….When the entitlements start drying up, maybe obama and crew can get serious about creating jobs…the government `freeloaders` will need the work ! Then, watch the tax revenues roll in, creating a robust economy. Side note: Watch obama walk all over the Sierra Club and their wishes to stop the Keystone pipeline….Yes sir…he`ll be kow-towing to the Unions and their ilk….So be it….it will create massive jobs and energy freedom for this Nation, while bringing a boon to the economy in the town and cities that the pipeline traverses.
Only in the La La Land of Washington could a situation where you have and spend more money than you did last year be called a cut.
Well you all have certainly been right so many times, who could doubt you now?

Obviously President Obama is too stupid to know that him telling the American people this will be felt when he knows it won’t is typical for how he has operated and why his approval rating is in the dump while the esteemed GOTP House and GOTP obstructive Senate approval rating is soaring.

Again anyone who dares not use their whole name is dismissed, unless of course they are liberal. Then it’s okay to be anonymous. Face it. For years the liberals have accused Republicans of trying to use fear to rule. Now Obama has done exactly that, with weeks of dire warnings about what sequestration would do. Only it now appears he has woven quite a tangled web. After all, sequestration was his idea. It was his proposal. When he started talking about how awful it was gonna be, he denied that. Now, that has been proven and he had to acknowledge that the whole sequestration clause did come from his White House. Then, he backs off on how awful it will be saying it will be bad, but not “an apocalypse.”

The best part of this is how the White House and the Dems have refused to put forth a budget and refuse to negotiate as has always happened in the past but have successfully been able to convince the sheeple that it is all the fault of an obstructionist minority of Republicans. You really have to give the candidate of hope and change a hat tip for proving to be an unbelievably adept politician and a master of traditional Washington insider politics.

It’s March 2, the sequester has been put into effect and the sun is shinning!
Why should the GOP agree to Obama’s demand for “tax reform” and cutting “tax loopholes”? Those are just euphemisms for tax increases.
The GOP just agreed last Janurary to $6 trillion in tax increase over the next 10 years with no spending cuts. It’s time for Obama to agree to real spending cuts!
If the sequester remains in place as I hope, the federal government will end up spending $44.8 trillion over the next 10 years instead of $46 trillion, hardly Armageddon.
Obama’s worst fear is the public may not even notice at all!
Deep cuts my foot! The spending increased from the last budget. If teachers, police, fire fighters, poor kids, etc are so important to the dems, why are they always the first to see cuts? Obama spent 7 minutes in a meeting with House and Senate leaders. But spent the weekend playing golf with Tiger.

It’s good to see we are getting our priorities straight. The sequester cuts the meals on wheels funding for the elderly shut-ins, and it cuts food for the poor children yet we continue to protect the yacht tax breaks and private jet breaks for the rich… What country are we in again?
