We hear alot about local governments facing decreased revenues and funding. WDBJ7 ran a story this morning about Roanoke City purchasing 2 “electric vehicles” some 4 years ago at a cost of nearly $25k each. To date 1 vehicle has about 1,000 miles on it. That would work out to be less than 5 miles a week.
I’m sure this is not a common occurrence. In today’s era of “tight budgets”
there is now way governments could continue to seemingly waste money.
And with other nations moving to wind/solar methods of generating power
at costs 2 to 4 times what we experience now, might the “GREEN movement”
be inappropriately labeled?
AHhhhhh..the good ol’ days!!
2007…market tanking, economy slowing, wars….Americans had a very low opinion on trusting the fed gov to handle or improve foreign and domestic issues.
A new Gallup poll from last week shows that these numbers are NOW at all time lows. Healthcare reform, the Mideast, higher taxes, other regs are not welcome or wanted. Democrats seem to like it as majorities trust the gov on domestic and international issues.
Hmmmmmmmmm..now who is “out of step”?
