Barring the truly bizarre, come January, Virginia will be saddled for the next four years with either Republican Ken Cuccinelli or Democrat Terry McAuliffe as governor.
So far we know this: Neither is worthy of the office. Each candidate has spent much of the campaign shouting about his opponent’s dirty laundry as if raising the volume acts as a rinse cycle for his own muddy messes. Then, with the next breath, each candidate complains he alone wants to talk issues.
