Ed S."That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the **Right of the People** to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." (**emphasis added)
Is this circular, meaning only the Government can alter or abolish itself? (just kidding, a little post-Heller humor)
In all seriousness, thank you for posting this. I think all US citizens should read this, the Constitution, and other historical documents regularly. It's good to know what was written and why, and today is as good a day as any.
