BUD

I don't know about saucy BUT-
MAY 2008 military deaths were the LOWEST since the March 2003 invasion. To put this in perspective.. in the JAN- MAY periods of 2004-2008 the US military deaths look like this:
2004 JAN- MAY 334
2005 JAN- MAY 332
2006 JAN- MAY 293
2007 JAN- MAY 475 (pre surge)
2008 JAN- MAY 179

The SURGE HAS WORKED! The number of US military in IRAQ will be back to pre surge levels in 2 months. Iraqi troops ( military and police) are now taking over providing security for their nation. Iraqi oil production is beginning to exceed pre war levels and is expected to double in the next 5 years. Iraqi economic growth is expected to be @ 7% this year. In short, the IRAQI people and government have been provided an opportunity to realize this brightening future. Contrast this to what would have been left behind had we listened/followed those who demanded an immediate pullout, to those who foolishly expect timelines to work in periods of conflict and civil strife, to those who said some 15 months ago- " THE WAR IS LOST."

Henry

Interesting blog. It seems the book that McClellan shopped to the publishers was not the same book that George Soros put out.
