On Tuesday, September 1, a new exhibit will open at the Blackwater Loft in downtown Floyd, Virginia. This show features creative work from the "Trial by Ayuwa’si Fire" project, which documents the story of the Blue Springs region of Virginia. This exhibit will be on display until September 29, 2009.

September’s show at the Loft will feature paintings, photographs, sculpture, and educational content focused on compassionate creativity and Earth-friendly lifeways. Visitors at this exhibit will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive art project designed to commemorate a recent donation from the Blackwater Loft to the "Alley Cat Angels" program.

On Friday, September 4, a reception will take place from 5 to 7 pm at the Blackwater Loft to welcome the coming Autumn and to mark the beginning of this phase of the "Trial by Ayuwa’si Fire" project. This is a free event, and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
