Ferrum College's Winter Concert features jazz and gospel

Here's a press release from Ferrum College about their upcoming Winter Concert:

The Ferrum College Gospel Choir and Jazz Ensemble will perform their annual Winter Concert on December 4, 2009 at 7:30 PM in the Vaughn Chapel on the Ferrum College campus.

The Gospel Choir, under the direction of Velshera Johnson, will be presenting an evening of uplifting Gospel favorites with a message of love and inspiration. The Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Emily Rose Tucker, will combine traditional holiday favorites with hot jazz standards, old and new.

Admission to this event is free and open to the public. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the St. James Community Center in Ferrum.

For more information, contact Emily Tucker at 365-4307 or emily.rose.tucker[at]mac.com
