Clara Theimer signs up a parent for CAMS PTA

Central Academy held Back to School Night on Monday, September 8. After a brief PTA meeting headed up by officers and a serenade of patriotic songs by the seventh grade choir, the parents and students spent the evening going to visit student classes and retired to the cafeteria for refreshments.

PTA Officers for the school year are:
Carol Theimer, President
Cherie Austin, 1st Vice President
Crystal Ware, 2nd Vice President
Kim LaPrade, Treasurer
Debbie Moore, Secretary

The PTA put together a cook book thanks in part to students, parents, faculty submissions and the hard work of PTA parent and volunteer Robyn Flint. It will be a major fund raiser for the PTA this year. It will debut with a kick off campaign in October just in time for holiday giving. They are also using Kroger cards as a fund raiser.

Central Academy wants to stress communication this year and encourages the use of email to teachers and checking the website at bcps.k12.va.us for all of those who did not attend the Back to School night.
