Botetourt band Five Minutes Later releases four songs

The Botetourt-based band "Five Minutes Later" has been in the studio laying down some tracks -- and now you can take a listen to them on the band's MySpace page.

The songs were recorded at Flat Five Press and Recording Studio in Salem.

We've had previous posts about the band on August 29, before one of its frequent gigs at the Coffee Pot, and on May 17, when the band won the Lord Botetourt High School Battle of the Bands contest. The band's publicist says the song "Broken Heart of Mine" deals with "the tragic romance between two Botetourt teens."

The band consists of:

Lead Vocals / Guitar......"JT" James Campbell.... Eagle Rock (Class of '07, James River)
Lead Guitar / Back-up Vocals......Alex Tam.... Troutville (Class of '09, LB)
Percussion / Back-up Vocals......Travis Grahame....Blue Ridge (Class of '10, LB)
Bass Guitar / Back-up Vocals.....David Vineyard.....Cloverdale (Class of '08, LB)

If you have a band that includes players from Botetourt, let us know at news@botetourtview.com
