Cheryl Lunsford composes song in honor of art museum
Cheryl Lunsford, the Fincastle singer-songwriter (and guitar teacher), has composed a song in honor of the new Taubman Museum of Art. She and her daughter, Erin, will perform at the official opening of the museum next month.
The song is called "Calling of the South," and you can hear it for the first time on Nov. 8 at noon at the museum.
If you miss that, you'll have other opportunities, because it will be the title cut of their new CD, coming out next year.
A demo of the song will shortly be available on Cheryl's website, www.theguitardojo.com.

Calling Of The South
Music & Lyrics composed by Cheryl Lunsford, additional lyrics online at www.theguitardojo.com
Hear the calling of the South
From the Valley down below,
Where the Mountain Music is tossed about, Through the songs of long ago.
Our roots run long and deep,
Through all the good things that we keep, Just the simple parts of our everyday, We share with those we meet.
Come on let's, ride up to the Star....
