Candace Monaghan of Buchanan is a graphic designer and artist, now she has added photography to her list of accomplishments. She placed second in the people part of the Farm Bureau annual contest and third in the farm machinery division. Her photos will be exhibited at the state convention.

Pictured here is her father Preston Wickline with her daughter Ella Monaghan examining a bit of hay. She calls the photo, "Grandpa and me." The photograph was taken on the Wickline Farm with a Nikon SLR Digital camera.

Monaghan also designed and painted one of the fiber glass Hokie birds for Virginia Tech a few years ago exhibited in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. She owns her own graphic design business and can be reached at design4u@ntelos.net
