Last winter and spring at Central Academy Middle School, parents, faculty, students and staff submitted recipes to the PTA for a cookbook. Titled "Patriots in the Kitchen," it has arrived and is on sale now. "Get a copy for grandma, your cousin or best friend for Christmas," chuckled Carol Theimer, Central Academy's PTA president.

The cookbook costs $18 and has hundreds of recipes. From gourmet to country to kid friendly, the cookbook has a wide variety of recipes for dishes that can be prepared on the stove, in the microwave, an oven or a crock pot and even the blender. "All proceeds go to benefit the student programs sponsored by the PTA," encouraged Theimer. "We have a relatively small budget and we are counting on the cookbook sales to help us provide the things our student body needs." The cookbook committee worked tirelesly typing in the recipes. she said. and thanked Robyn Flint in particular for her help.

Cookbooks can be purchased through PTA members. contact: timer@rbnet.com.
