Photos from Red Ribbon Week at Troutville and Lord Botetourt

Jane Wolfe sent these photos into us on behalf of Troutville Elementary School and Lord Botetourt High School:

First photo: As part of Red Ribbon Week, students in the Roanoke area participated in a poster contest with the theme "Drug Free, the Healthy Way to Be".  Students who placed among the top three in their grade level from the entire Roanoke area were honored by RAYSAC at a Candlelight Vigil at the Hotel Roanoke.  As shown here, students from Troutville Elementary really shined.  Front row, Samarah Alam, Cody Camper, Samantha Switzer, Halle Reese.  Back Row: Red Ribbon Week coordinator Michelle Palmer, Hannah Harris, Tyler Davis, Nathan Frate, Amber Alam, Mikayla Palmer and Alex Wolfe.  Not pictured, but also a winner, is Caden Burke.

Second photo:  Lord Botetourt Red Ribbon Week coordinator and teacher Jane Reynolds proudly accepts the plaque honoring her school as the winner of the Red Ribbon Week high school competition.  Lord Botetout won from all Roanoke area high schools that participated in this week long program celebrating a drug free life.
