LBHS band performed well at the Trojan Invitational last Saturday in Tunstall.

Band parents Susan and Craig Quisenberry sent in the photos and Band Director Chris Caldwell sent in the commentary, but it was a very good season for the LBHS band. Their show during the saeason and football half time was the music of Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Said Caldwell, "The Lord Botetourt Marching Cavaliers competed at the annual Trojan Invitational at Tunstall High School. The Tunstall High School competition follows a different format than most competitions. The contest is essentially two contests in one day, a Preliminary Round and a Finals Round. In the Preliminary Round the bands are divided into classes based on band size. The Marching Cavaliers competed in class AAA. The Cavaliers received 2nd Place Visual Ensemble, 2nd Place Drum Major, 2nd Place General Effect, 2nd Place Music, 2nd Place Marching, and 2nd Place Band. In the Finals Round of competition all bands competed against each other regardless of size. The Marching Cavaliers received 3rd Place Band for the day."
