Troutville man wins Bill Mann Memorial Senior Tournament

The Bill Mann Memorial Senior Tournament at Ashley Plantation last week was the The Roanoke Valley Senior Golf Tour's final tournament of 2008.

Troutville resident Garland Dooley was the overall winner with a net score of 55 which is one of the lowest net scores recorded in the 6 year history of the RVSGT.  Playing in Division 2, Dooley's gross score of 72 also picked up honors for the low gross score. Second place went to Ed McElmurray with a net 58; Third place went to Ken Thomas with a 61; fourth place - Edward Arrington, 62 with matching score cards over fifth place Leroy Stock also with a 62.

Division 1 winners were First place - Wayne Weade, of Daleville, with a net 61; Second place - Ken Gross 62; Third place - Marvin Jones - 63; fourth place - Glenn Walls - 64 and Fifth place Sherwood Woodford also with a 64 after matching score cards.   John Hubbard was Division 1 gross winner with a score of 71.
