Car crash on US 220 south sends two to hospital
This truck was involved in a single car accident on US 220 south in Botetourt County this morning.
According to Trooper Mason Jordan, the single vehicle accident took place about 7:30 a.m. this morning as drivers headed to work on Monday. The location of the accident was just past the driveway at Amsterdam Baptist Church. It involved a black pick-up truck containing a female driver and a male passenger. The truck left marks from the entry of Amsterdam Road for about twenty-five yards before it went off the road over the guard rail. The driver was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial hospital and the passenger taken by ambulance. No word as to the condition of either.
