2007 Fincastle parade participants having fun along the route!

Paige Ware of the Fincastle Christmas Parade committee sends this invite to enter the parade. Even better, we have a link to the entry form. (If you click the link and get a message about "invalid font," don't worry -- that's just tech-talk -- just click it again and keep on. This works differently on different browsers, we've found):

You are cordially invited to participate in the Fincastle Christmas Parade to be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008.

Rain date: Sunday, December 7, 2008. The Town of Fincastle sponsors this 35th annual parade.

Cash awards will be given to the best entries in traditional and religious float categories. Bands will receive honorarium. Bands will not be judged.

Entry blanks should be mailed in by November 28, 2008. We hope very much that you or your organization will see fit to be part of the parade.

The parade will form at 1:00 p.m. at Breckinridge Elementary School in Fincastle and will begin at 2:00 p.m. sharp! The parade route is as follows: Back Street, Main Street, Academy Street, Roanoke Street, and Main Street ending back at Breckinridge Elementary School.

(This year we are having a rain date of Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.)

Please plan to enter and return the entry blank as soon as possible.
