Girl Scout Cadette Troop goes to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

Girl Scout Cadette Troop went cabin camping November 16-17, at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park located at Natural Bridge. Even though it rained most of the weekend, the troop managed to have fun and complete two projects. The girls slept in a loft in a cabin. The two projects were dolls for NICU babies at Carilion hospital. Mothers take the dolls home, sleep with them, then the doll is place in the isolet with the baby, so the baby can smell his/her mother. Their second project was water testing for the Water Environment Federation. The results will be entered on-line. The girls also found time for themselves and enjoyed a walk between rainfalls to view the fall colors. Troop Leaders are Debbie Nelson and Sandra Lingle.
