Girls Scouts hold ceremonies

Girl Scout Brownie Troop 781 had their Fly-up Ceremony and Girl Scout Junior Troop 554 had their Rededication ceremony at the Big Spring Public Park in Fincastle on Oct. 28. Troop 554 has three 3 girls and Troop 781 had 7 fly ups! Now, all girls are Junior Girl Scouts! Junior Girl Scouts earn badges and discover what girl power is all about through new activities and by learning to take charge of their own plans. They gain self-confidence as they explore the world in partnership with their troop leaders. Both troops are led by Meegan Lybolt, with Gail Syndor as co-leader.
